It is hard to believe that it is the last week before Christmas.  The year has gone by so quickly.  We are reading and singing about the season, as well as participating in the school activities wherever we can.  I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We are in the time of Advent and Christmas is coming fast.  In class we have read about how snowmen prepare for Christmas and sung songs to celebrate the season, as well as listened to the music of Christmas as well. We have been working on Advent candles to remind us of; Hope, Faith, Love, and Joy.  We wish you the very best at this time of year and hope you find time to reflect and rest.

June 1
It looks like a wet day and after the heat we have had it is welcome.  We have worked on a number of Fairy Tales and will cover a few more before we are finished with this section. If you have a chance to go over any Fairy Tales at home that may encourage participation by you child.  Also if you have a favorite Fairy Tale be sure to let me know in the agenda and I might be able to cover it in class.

The long cold winter is over.  We have had some warm weather and our students have enjoyed getting outside.  Now we are in for some rain to freshen things up and help water our flower planters that we started this week. We have also been working on crafts and starting a unit on fairy tales.

It was nice to get that warm weather, but it is also nice to get a little rain. I think we need it. We are getting our flower planters ready for spring planting.  Our students are getting outside and preparing the flower beds.  Soon we will have seeds in the ground as well as seedlings.

The sun has come out and it looks like spring must be on the way at last.  We are doing some spring related crafts.  Hand Art flowers and bright colors in painting.  We have also been watching spring and new life themes in Bookflicks and in our stories.

April 11, 2018
Easter has come and our break is now a relaxing memory.  We are back into classes and school routines.  The break was nice but it is good to be back.  The next two weeks are going to see our students learning the basics of  Lacross in their gym periods. Several students have already started and are enjoying the game very much. Also as a school focus we will be working on the virtue of Courtesy this month.

March 27
It is hard to believe how fast the year is going.  Easter is coming fast.  In class we have been reading Benjamin's Box.  A story about Holy Week through the eye's of a young boy following Jesus on his journey to Easter.  With it comes some small icons that help our students visualize what is happening.

March 16.  We have survived the return of the snow and ice and are now looking forward tospring once more.  Report cards are going home today and registration for Parent/Teacher Interviews start tonight.  Our class has been busy with yoga this week. Something that many of our students have enjoyed giving a try.  Yoga will wrap up early next week. Our school Book Fair will be opening soon.

We have been busy this week.  Our school is engaged in a yoga participation activity that involves all students in their appropriate classes.we have survived the cold and snow and like everyone else are looking forward to warmer weather and more time enjoying the outside.  Next week we will be getting a new member to our classroom.

It has been a busy few weeks. Getting back from the Christmas Break and getting back into school routine.  We are making good progress in many of our social goals and classroom routines, and getting our students to engage in song, dance, and generally participate with others.
